Irish Song and Slow Airs
Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh hails from Dún Chaoin in the West-Kerry Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area). She is a member of premiere Irish band Danu. Come and hear her describe the link between Irish song and slow air playing. It will be illustrated with both song and air examples and is a wonderful opportunity to hear one of Ireland's finest singers.
Meet the Guests
Come along and hear the Australian tutors (Beth McCracken, Adrian Barker and kate Burke) talk about their musical background and how you go about learning Irish music outside of Ireland. The format is open and you will be able to ask your own questions of the guests.
